MANAGER, ELECTRICAL (Lahore, Pakistan)

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager competent to lead, develop, and manage the Electrical section within T&D department of the Power Business Unit (PBU). Oversee the full lifecycle of Electrical Engineering design for T&D projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless delivery through onshore and offshore design teams. Collaborate effectively with third parties, international partners, and sub-contractors to achieve project objectives and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality electrical designs, adhering to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage the design team, enforcing QMS procedures, standards compliance, and fostering team development.
• Engage with clients to align design deliverables with expectations, ensuring satisfaction and effective collaboration.
• Support tendering and project management by overseeing estimates, proposals, and coordination with cross-disciplinary teams.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in MV to EHV substation primary systems design from concept to construction, with strong interdisciplinary coordination skills.
• Skilled in equipment sizing, layout preparation (GIS, switchgear, transformers, etc.), AC/DC auxiliary systems sizing, and creating specifications, and tender documents.
• Deep knowledge of IEC, IEEE, BS, SASO, SEC, and other international/regional codes.
• Proficient in CDEGS, ETAP, CymGrid, Dialux, and 3D/drafting tools.
• Effective team leader and mentor with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with relevant professional certifications or accreditations.
• 15-18 years of extensive experience in Electrical design and analysis of T&D projects, with proven team management skills.
