We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager – Engineering to lead our high-performing engineering teams and drive the successful delivery of scalable and innovative web applications. In this role, you will not only bring technical depth and hands-on expertise in modern web technologies but also demonstrate strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills to guide a team of developers, tech leads, and engineers. You’ll be responsible for shaping technical vision, streamlining engineering processes, ensuring code quality, and fostering a collaborative and productive engineering culture.
This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of Product.

This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of Product.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Drive the technical strategy and architectural decisions for full-stack development using React.js, Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Supabase, and TypeScript.
- Oversee the development of scalable, maintainable, and secure web applications.
- Guide the team in implementing DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and code quality checks.
- Stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture discussions, and resolving high-impact technical challenges.
- Lead technical evaluations of new tools and technologies to support future scaling and performance improvements.
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of engineers and tech leads, creating a high-performance environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development plans for team members.
- Facilitate effective onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing practices across teams.
- Ensure alignment of engineering goals with company vision and product roadmap.
- Cultivate a culture of ownership, innovation, and transparency.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business goals and delivery timelines.
- Own sprint planning, resource allocation, and timely execution of software releases.
- Ensure all deliverables meet technical standards, security guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Lead risk management efforts and implement contingency plans for critical engineering challenges.
- Act as a bridge between engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of priorities.
- Represent engineering in strategic discussions and planning meetings.
- Work closely with QA, Design, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of features and initiatives.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in full-stack web development with a strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing engineering teams with proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Deep expertise in React.js, Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Supabase, TailwindCSS, MUI, and JavaScript.
- Experience in architecting and deploying serverless and edge-function applications using Vercel, Cloudflare, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services (AWS/DigitalOcean), monitoring (Datadog, Sentry), and infrastructure automation.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM pipelines and third-party services (Stripe, Google APIs, Amazon APIs).
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles (MVVM, Clean Architecture), performance optimization, and scalable system design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Passionate about engineering excellence, mentorship, and building high-quality software in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Lead and scale an engineering team building a next-generation SaaS web application.
