Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated key account manager with a strong focus on the ecommerce sector to join our dynamic ecommerce startup. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end responsibility for growing the key accounts, leveraging their commercial acumen, data analytics expertise, pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and knowledge of 3P (third-party) marketplace management. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive category growth, manage seller relationships, and optimize marketplace performance, all while maintaining a consumer-driven approach, being an effective and staying agile and fluid in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy to drive growth for all the assigned key accounts.
- Negotiate terms and conditions to optimize category profitability and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to enhance seller performance.
- Foster active engagement within the seller’s community through effective communication, problem-solving, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category goals with overall business objectives.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to maximize profitability and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and optimize category performance.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions on product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Plan and manage promotional activities to drive category growth and increase market share.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with 2-3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- In-depth knowledge of 3P marketplace management, seller onboarding, and seller performance optimization.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Ability to align strategies with consumer needs and preferences.
- Hands-on, results-oriented approach to executing category strategies.
