Responsibilities
This role is based at the AKUH main campus. You will be responsible to:
- Assess patients and perform complete paperwork by filling out relevant forms as per the hospital protocols
- participate in the management of patients under the supervision of Senior Residents, Senior Medical Officers, Staff Medical Officers and Consultants
- ensure that patients are given correct medication/ instruction as advised by the consultant and explain their health care needs.
- continually work towards enhancing competencies in a clinical setting under the supervision of consultants and other faculty and staff
- participate in educational activities, such as Grand Rounds, and Journal Clubs, where applicable.
Requirements
You should have:
- MBBS degree and additional diploma in relevant field will be preferred.
- 1-3 years post MBBS related experience with one year House Job
- continuous open and consistent communication with faculty, staff, patients and their families
- counsel patients and their families at their level of understanding.
- a valid license from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)
- good written communication skills, especially with regard to patient care documentation
- willing to work in shift duties.
