Position Overview
Staffingly, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medicare Part B Billing Representative with a strong background in pharmacy billing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in processing Part B claims, handling denials, and a thorough understanding of vaccine billing, including COVID-19 vaccines. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to research claims and denial codes effectively, and a commitment to accurately resubmitting claims to ensure they are successfully processed.
Key Responsibilities
Process Medicare Part B Claims: Efficiently handle the billing of Medicare Part B claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Denial Management: Review and manage claim denials, researching denial codes, and determining the appropriate actions to resolve issues.
Vaccine Billing: Demonstrate expertise in vaccine billing, including COVID-19 vaccines, ensuring all claims are correctly submitted according to current guidelines.
Claims Resubmission: Accurately resubmit claims after correcting errors or addressing denials, with the goal of ensuring successful claim processing.
Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on denied claims, utilizing available resources to understand the reasons for denial and identifying solutions to prevent future denials.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all claim submissions, denials, resubmissions, and resolutions, providing regular reports to management as needed.
Compliance & Best Practices: Stay updated on Medicare Part B billing regulations and best practices, ensuring all processes align with current standards.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicare Part B billing, with a focus on pharmacy-related claims.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of vaccine billing, particularly for COVID-19, and familiarity with common denial codes and resolution strategies.
Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing issues clearly.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in billing software and tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare, Finance, Pharmacy).
