Role description

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Network and Cloud Security Operations

• Strong expertise in WAF technologies, including AWS WAF

• Proven experience managing IPS solutions to detect and prevent threats

• Advanced operational experience with Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls

• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud security services and architecture

• Intermediate Python proficiency for automation and security scripting

• Experience working with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Security are preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Cloud Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect enterprise web applications

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security incidents, audits, and high-priority escalations

• Configure, tune, and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to mitigate security threats

• Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Checkpoint and/or Fortinet firewalls

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security logs, s, and incidents

• Conduct security assessments, review vulnerability scans, and drive remediation efforts

• Collaborate with cross-functional security and engineering teams to enforce security policies and standards

• Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and runbooks

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional security tools and monitoring platforms

• Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices

• Ability to operate effectively in a high-availability, fast-paced environment
