Job Summary

Strategy*

  • To contribute towards Compliance for Production Order / DOCBO (Domestic Order Cross Border Order) cases and cost control related to BAU by ensuring error free and timely processing of DOCBO / Production Orders) for SCBPL clients which received from authorities.
  • To ensure that all DOCBO (Domestic Order Cross Border Order) related activities are carried out with the maximum efficiency, accuracy, security & control for both internal & external stake holders & authorities in accordance with AML/CFT (Anti Money Laundering / Combating Financing of Terrorism) guidelines and its Standards.
  • To design, recommend and implement action plans for continuous process improvements to enhance both processing efficiency and operational controls and save costs.
  • Engage a wide range of internal stakeholders for discussion in order to streamline processes and implement changes
  • Adherence to SLA (Service Level Agreements) & DOI (Departmental Operating Instructions) and Key Control Standards.
  • To ensure strict compliance with Group, Central Bank (regulator) & LEA (Law Enforcement Agencies).

Business*

  • Ensure response submission to the Authorities i.e.: LEA (Law Enforcement Agencies) and Regulators as per their requirement.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to make the process streamline & Escalate Potential gaps with them.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products across all segments
  • Ensure improvement plans are being initiated and implemented. A3 target is met.
  • Changes to system, process or product offering are handled in an effective and seamless manner delivering the expected outcomes.
  • Liaise with LEA when necessary to ensure compliance of the DOCBO Cases
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when delegated by Line Manager and Country Head, Servicing & Transacting, Pakistan
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

Processes*

  • Carefully examine and process DOCBO (Domestic Order Cross Border Order) cases & Queries received from various Authorities in relation to provision of Information / Record against SCBPL (Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited) account holders.
  • Ensure that every Production order received within cut-off, is processed else there must be a proper reason against each pending Production order.
  • Follow-up on the pending Production orders and make sure that the targeted TAT (Turnaround Time) is not breached.
  • Act and response on all queries / instructions received from relevant Stakeholders and Authorities.
  • Ensure all operational processes are robust and deliver at excellent levels of costs and quality.
  • Manage the maintenance of operational integrity across business within areas of responsibility.
  • Manage potential conflict of interests and priorities of different business operations to ensure optimal business outcome.
  • Ensure all Key Risk Indicators and Operational Risks are addressed, appropriately dealt with and resolved.
  • Proactively identify and analyse inherent risks within the department and recommend ways of minimizing risk.
  • Review procedures and systems to suggest improvements and enhancements to current practices into consideration.

  • Effectively manage risks and create a robust control environment.
  • Coordinating, Facilitating and Promoting understanding of Operational Risk and its implementation and management of Governance & Control within the Unit.

Governance*

  • Ensure that all process / practices in the Unit comply with Bank' Risk and Compliance procedures to minimize security and risk exposure.
  • Formulate improvement in operating procedure to effectively manage risks and create a robust control environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all CST (Control Sample Testing) and HCL (Health Checklist).
  • Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of Operational Risk and its implementation and management of or within the Unit.
