Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner
  • Review and validate payroll data including working hours, deductions, bonuses and allowances
  • Ensure payroll calculations are in compliance with applicable tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies
  • Prepare final settlements and end-of-service benefits for departing employees, including leave encashments
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee compensation files
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are properly documented and stored in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain employee leave balances, benefits, advances, and deductions
  • Generate and submit payroll reports to management, finance teams, and external auditors as required
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and coordinate with the accounting team for accurate financial reporting
  • Keep updated with changes in tax legislation, labor laws, and payroll best practices to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to salaries, deductions, or benefits
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure alignment of employee records, time and attendance data, and other payroll inputs
  • Ensure timely communication of payroll-related changes or updates to relevant departments


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in payroll processing or in a similar payroll/accounting role
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as FlowHCM or other HRMS/payroll software is highly desirable
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP platforms
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


Nice to have

  • Professional certification in payroll or HR (e.g., CPP, PHR) is a plus
  • Experience in a mid-to-large size organization with complex payroll structures
