What You’ll Lead And Deliver

The Solution Engineer will provide support to architect and develop Industry 4.0 solutions responsible for leading our customers to digital transformation in areas of industrial analytics, operations and security. The individual will understand customer requirements, business challenges and design innovative technical solutions utilizing existing and potential technology partners and tools as well as prepare and present the proposals.

  • Work in close coordination with Solution Consultant, Account Managers and Sales Team to ensure timely and quality delivery of solution proposals and presenting technical elements of the proposal in support of a bidding cycle.
  • Support Solution and Sales Team in developing solution presentations as required
  • Participate in activities such as site surveys, requirement gathering workshops as and when required
  • Respond to various proposal requests and support in bids preparation ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements related to Analytics, Digital Operations and Cybersecurity
  • Provide support to review, evaluate and summarize complex software project terms and conditions and liaise with corresponding internal/external subject matter experts
  • Coordinate with internal product specialists to prepare and deliver demonstrations, proof of concepts on-demand to support pre-sales activities to present capabilities of our specialized solutions.
  • Lead initiatives relating to standardisation initiatives (i.e. creating new techniques, methods, processes, templates, tools etc), to improve efficiency and repeatability, and support knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate with our Technology Partners for solution development as well as identify new potential partners to help meet new customer requirements
  • The individual is expected to quickly grow within the group and contribute to intelligent solution architecting and business development functions.
  • Support in development of marketing collateral together with Marketing Team as required for existing and new solutions
  • Design the solutions according to the scope of work from customers and support the solution architect in packaging the solutions
  • Develop technical design and explain the design through proposal documents for sales and BD teams
  • Work in close coordination with the Solution Consultant and Sales Team to ensure the timely and quality delivery of solution proposals.
  • Support Solution and Sales Team in developing solution presentations as required

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

Technical Skills

  • Professional degree in Engineering/Software/relevant field with solution development or deployment experience in Industrial Automation and Digitalization domain for at least 3+ years in any relevant any relevant Industry (Manufacturing/Petrochem/Fertilizer/Oil & Energy/Power/Utilities)
  • Basic know-how of Industry 4.0 terms and latest technologies used to deploy such systems
  • Prior experience of Industrial IOT Solutions solution design and/or application development and deployment is preferred
  • Must well understand the company’s Digital Solutions product portfolio in Data Management, Digital Operations and Cyber-security and able to quickly grasp concepts of new emerging tools
  • Must have basic knowledge of Automation and Control systems and OT Systems such as MES/Historians/Reporting Tools/Alarm Management Systems etc
  • Familiarization with use of OT-IT Integration technologies using OPC/MQTT, REST APIs, Web Services
  • Experience with use of either of Industrial Analysis and Historian Software such as (OSIsoft/Aspen InfoPlus/ FactoryTalk) will be a plus.
  • Know-how of tools and techniques to integrate disparate data sources in a common platform
  • Understand various integration layers of the PURDUE Model from Field Level to Cloud/Enterprise Systems
  • Understanding of basic networking design principles from cybersecurity aspect
  • Reasonable know-how of working and integrating with common databases such as SQL/MySQL etc.

  • Quick learner and self-starter, who enjoys solving real business challenges with an aptitude for learning latest technologies and software in the Industrial IoT Domain
  • Strong customer orientation and must have curiosity in technical aspects and understanding customer requirements within multiple industries
  • Excellent communication, problem solving skills with ability to investigate the needs/problems of prospective customers
  • The ability to effectively self-manage, prioritize and handle multiple enquiries
  • Able to communicate effectively, possess strong writing skills, etc.
  • Demonstration of capability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-ethnic teams
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills and is able to present proposals or solutions to internal/external customers
  • Possess a strong business development acumen
