Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our supply chain operations by leveraging direct OEM networks, developing key supplier relationships, and ensuring continuous improvement through strategic data analysis and effective communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to support vehicle sourcing for export and rental operations.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers globally, focusing on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Coordinate the procurement process, ensuring timely vehicle selection, order placement, and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement transactions.
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain conditions to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Track supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contract terms.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to maintain adequate vehicle supply.
  • Support the development and management of procurement budgets, ensuring cost control.
  • Prepare procurement reports, providing insights into supplier performance, cost savings, and market conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to import/export regulations and compliance with vehicle safety standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency in procurement operations.


Skills Required:

  • Basic understanding of the global automotive market, vehicle sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, particularly those related to African markets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to analyze supplier proposals and market data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in contract administration and procurement documentation.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.


Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination (preferably in the automotive industry).
