Product Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Documentation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, clear and user-friendly copy for our digital products as well as creating and maintaining public documentation using platforms like Docusaurus. You will work closely with product managers, developers and designers to ensure our product’s features are effectively communicated to our users.

Key Responsibilities

Product Copywriting

• Write and edit clear, concise and engaging copy for digital products, including onboarding flows, product features, FAQs and tutorials.
• Ensure product copy aligns with brand voice, tone and messaging guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, engineering) to gather information and ensure accurate product descriptions.
• Develop copy that enhances user experience and drives product adoption.
  
  

Documentation Creation & Maintenance

• Write, organize and maintain clear, comprehensive and user-friendly public documentation for digital products.
• Use documentation tools such as Docusaurus to structure and format product documentation.
• Create step-by-step guides, API documentation and troubleshooting content that simplifies complex technical topics for users.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date, easy to navigate and aligned with product releases and updates.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product capabilities and changes.
• Develop a content strategy for both internal and external product documentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Plan and write release notes, product updates and blog posts that keep users informed about new features and improvements.
• Monitor user feedback on product documentation and iterate based on suggestions or common issues.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Feedback

• Review and proofread all content for grammar, clarity and consistency before publication.
• Conduct thorough checks to ensure that documentation is free from errors and accurately reflects the product.
• Work closely with product managers, developers and marketing teams to ensure product messaging is consistent across all touchpoints.
• Gather feedback from users to continuously improve the clarity and usability of product documentation.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience writing copy for digital products, SaaS platforms or tech companies.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining user documentation using platforms such as Docusaurus or similar tools.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity and brevity.
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
• Proficiency in tools like Markdown, GitHub or any content management systems (CMS) for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Problem-solving mindset, able to identify and address content gaps and areas for improvement.
• Experience in SEO copywriting for product-related content
• Knowledge of agile workflows and version control systems
• Write the word “vinci” in the subject of email when sending resume.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch or similar tools for collaborating on user-facing content.
