Program Manager

We are looking for an experienced and organized Program Manager to drive the successful execution of our key product initiatives. In this role, you will be the "glue" that holds our cross-functional teams together. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to ensure we deliver high-quality products on time and aligned with business goals.

Unlike a Project Manager who may focus on a single workflow, you will oversee a program of interconnected projects, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure the entire portfolio succeeds. You will also leverage your technical understanding of our stack (Firebase, APIs) and data (SQL, GA) to validate progress and drive data-backed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Planning & Strategy
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to translate high-level business goals into actionable program roadmaps.
• Define program scope, milestones, and success criteria for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Drive quarterly planning cycles (e.g., OKRs, PI Planning) to ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
• Execution, Delivery & Technical Validation
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product programs from conception to launch and post-launch analysis.
• Establish clear feedback loops and meeting cadences (e.g., scrums, syncs, status reviews) without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and dependencies between different product teams (e.g., ensuring the backend team is ready for the frontend team’s needs).
• Technical Checkpoints: Utilize a basic understanding of APIs and Firebase to better understand engineering blockers and facilitate smoother technical conversations between teams.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
• Act as the primary bridge between technical teams (Engineering, DevOps) and business teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success).
• Ensure Go-to-Market (GTM) readiness by coordinating release schedules with product marketing and support teams.
• Facilitate trade-off decisions; help teams resolve conflicts regarding scope, schedule, and resources.
• Executive Communication & Reporting
• C-Level Reporting: Manage relationships with C-suite executives, providing high-level strategic updates, presenting roadmaps, and fielding inquiries regarding program health and ROI.
• Translate technical progress into business impact updates for non-technical stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of accountability and transparency by maintaining a "single source of truth" for program status (using tools like Jira and Asana).
• Process Improvement & Data Analysis
• Continuously assess and improve our product development lifecycle (PDLC) processes.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Use SQL and Google Analytics (GA) to query performance data, validate feature success post-launch, and provide quantitative reports to leadership.
• Champion Agile best practices while remaining flexible to the unique needs of the team.
• Conduct retrospective analysis on completed programs to institutionalize learnings.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Product Operations within a technology or software product company.
• Executive Presence: Proven experience engaging directly with C-level executives and senior stakeholders; ability to synthesize complex information into executive summaries and influence decision-making.
• Technical Literacy:
• Basic understanding of APIs (REST, client-server interaction) to discuss architecture trade-offs with engineers.
• Familiarity with mobile/web app infrastructure, specifically Firebase (or similar backend-as-a-service platforms).
• Data & Analytics:
• Working knowledge of SQL for basic data querying and reporting.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA) for tracking user behavior and program success metrics.
• Methodologies: Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC).
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Tooling: Proficiency with project management and roadmapping tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, AI tools).
  

Preferred (Nice To Have)

• CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or CSPO certification.
• Experience engaging directly with Engineering teams or a background in a technical field (Software Engineering, Project management or Data/ business Analysis).
• Experience managing programs in a specific domain relevant to the company (e.g., FinTech, SaaS, AI/ML, Online Marketplace, or Lifestyle apps).
• Startup or scale-up experience (navigating ambiguity).
