As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards for our products, while actively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Review and deeply understand functional, technical, and design specifications to deliver accurate testing.
- Provide reliable testing estimates for project planning and timelines.
- Facilitate test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional teams to align on test scope and approach.
- Execute, evaluate, and maintain both manual and automated test cases, clearly documenting and reporting results.
- Lead and facilitate effective bug triage meetings to prioritize and resolve defects promptly.
- Participate in root cause analysis to uncover underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Validate and confirm that deliverables meet customer requirements and quality expectations.
- Proactively contribute to sprint ceremonies, grooming sessions, and other agile processes to ensure early involvement of QA (shift-left testing).
- Advocate continuous improvement in testing practices and processes.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2.5 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and QA.
- ISTQB - CTFL certification preferred.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional quality and embracing a quality-driven testing mindset.
- Ability to effectively problem-solve, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-driven, highly dedicated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Adaptable with a proactive, "get-it-done" attitude.
- Strong team player, effectively collaborating across various departments and roles.
- Deep understanding of QA/Testing processes, including SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java.
- Testing methodologies: Agile, Kanban, Waterfall.
- Testing practices: integration testing, end-to-end (E2E) testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), UI testing.
- Testing approaches: exploratory testing, risk-based testing, boundary-value analysis, equivalence partitioning.
- Generating comprehensive test cases from requirements and user stories.
- Defect management and tracking best practices.
- Mobile (Android, iOS) and web application testing.
- API testing: familiarity with different API methods, response validation, and error code differentiation.
- Understanding and applying test pyramid concepts: unit, integration, and E2E test levels.
- Practical experience with test automation tools such as Sofy, BDD frameworks, Maestro, JMeter, Postman, Rest-assured, Selenium, and K6.
- Experience in debugging and unit testing
- Experience with backend acceptance testing tools (e.g., Tavern, Postman).
- Exposure to chaos engineering and load testing concepts.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Bitrise, and cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with distributed version control systems, especially Git.
- Experience or interest in AI-driven testing tools or approaches (AI test generation, defect prediction).
- Awareness of shift-left testing principles, actively promoting early-stage QA involvement in software delivery.
