Key Responsibilities of BD / Sales Executive:

Role Overview:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a critical role in driving sales growth by generating and qualifying leads. Focused on the U.S. market, this role demands exceptional communication skills, persistence, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the company's specialized servies particularly IT and software solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs and requirements.
  • Lead Generation: Conduct proactive outreach via calls, emails, and social media to identify and engage potential clients. (SQL & MQL)
  • Inbound Lead Management: Respond promptly to leads generated through marketing campaigns and qualify their potential.
  • Lead Qualification: Oversee advanced prospect research to ensure high-quality targeting and alignment with business priorities. Utilize criteria such as BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to qualify leads and transfer them to top Sales management.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings, product demos, or calls with qualified prospects.
  • Market Research: Identify and research key decision-makers within target industries to enhance prospecting efforts.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead records in CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently meet or exceed KPIs, including outreach activities and meetings booked.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's offerings, the U.S. market, and emerging trends in the industry.


Requirements:

  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience in IT industry targeting the US/European market.
  • Good expertise in prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with potential clients, demand lead generation, lead generation, lead qualification and Business development.
  • Strong abilities to understand the market dynamics of outsourcing services, and client needs.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and market analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent skills required in articulating the results and sales performance.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales-related KPIs (mentioned below) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales processes is an advantage. (Salesforce, Hubsoft & Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Leadership / Personal Competencies: Excellent skills in presentation, interpersonal, Critical thinking, Problem-solving and attention to detail, Result-Orientation, Resilience & Persistence, Initiative Taking.
  • Performance Indicators / KPIs:


Qualified leads generated (Number of SQLs and MQLs)

Appointments set with decision-makers (Meetings booked, demos scheduled)

Lead data accuracy (CRM hygiene, updated lead status)

Market penetration (Number of new target accounts identified)

Sales pipeline contribution (Volume and quality of leads passed to Sales team)

Response time to inbound leads (Average response time, conversion ratio)

Activity levels (Calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages sent per week)
