Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets through visits and solution selling, and collaborating with internal teams.
How you create impact
Operational / Tactical duties
- Collaborate with operations to align solutions with customer needs
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system
- Work with other teams to gather information, negotiate pricing, and prepare for the handover of shipments to operations.
- Provide guidance and support to customer care team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Foster collaboration between customer and customer care team for seamless customer solutions.
- Build relationships with customers by meeting with them to discuss their needs and expectations, to bring in new business.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain a robust customer pipeline segmented by trade lanes.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies when onboarding and managing customers.
- Support finance team to Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms to minimize financial risk.
- Take proactive measures to address overdue accounts and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to meet targets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of company products and services.
- Stay up to date on market trends and developments
Experience:
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in freight forwarding preferrably.
- Strong focus and expertise in Sea Freight operations.
- Proven experience and solid background in sales, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proven track record in managing freight forwarding processes and delivering results in a senior capacity.
