Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure DevOps
AIM Inc.

Location: Remote
Department: Engineering / Cloud Operations
Reports To: Cloud Architect / Engineering Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Azure DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloud services, Azure B2C, Redis, and .NET application integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, deployment, automation, and maintenance of cloud-native solutions using Azure DevOps best practices. This individual must have strong proficiency in writing and maintaining .NET code that interfaces with Azure services and must be able to seamlessly integrate CI/CD workflows into the development lifecycle.
This is a critical role that bridges infrastructure, DevOps, and application engineering, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of modern cloud-native applications in a startup-driven, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Azure DevOps & CI/CD
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for .NET and other application stacks.
- Implement end-to-end DevOps practices including automated build, test, deployment, release, and rollback.
- Integrate code scanning and security analysis tools (e.g., SonarCloud, GitHub Advanced Security, or Azure DevOps Security Scanning extensions) into CI/CD pipelines to enforce secure coding practices and detect vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
- Manage Git repositories and branching strategies; enforce quality gates and automated testing.
- Integrate pipeline workflows with Azure Key Vault, App Configuration, and Application Insights.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Use Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to define and deploy Azure infrastructure.
- Automate operational processes, monitoring, and deployment using PowerShell, YAML, or Azure CLI.
- Build reusable scripts and templates to standardize infrastructure provisioning.
Azure Platform Engineering
- Work with core Azure services: App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and more.
- Implement, configure, and manage Azure API Management (APIM) to expose, secure, throttle, and monitor APIs; implement policies for transformation, caching, and authentication; and integrate APIM with backend .NET services and Azure B2C for secure identity management.
- Manage and configure Azure Active Directory B2C, including custom policies, identity providers, and integration with .NET apps.
- Configure and monitor Azure Redis Cache for low-latency, high-performance data access in distributed applications.
.NET Application Integration
- Write and maintain .NET (C#) code that interfaces with Azure services such as Azure Storage, Event Grid, Redis Cache, Service Bus, and Azure AD B2C.
- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure cloud-ready, scalable design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of .NET applications deployed to Azure.
Security, Monitoring & Governance
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), managed identities, and secure DevOps practices.
- Work with the security team to audit infrastructure and implement compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO, SOC).
- Configure and use monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher.
Required Qualifications
- Certification:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (Required)
- Optional: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Developer Associate
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering
- 3+ years of experience with .NET development and deployment in cloud environments
- 2+ years of working with Azure AD B2C, including user flows, policies, and app registrations
- 2+ years of experience integrating and optimizing Azure Redis Cache
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in Azure DevOps tools (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts)
- Proficient in .NET Core / C# with hands-on coding and debugging experience
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, load balancers, DNS, NSGs, and VNets
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, AKS is a plus)
- DevOps Tools & Languages:
- PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, YAML

- Monitoring & logging: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK (optional)
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized .NET apps
- Experience with OAuth2.0 / OpenID Connect, especially in context of B2C
- Familiarity with mobile app backends hosted on Azure
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and secure DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Azure Front Door and Application Gateway
- Working knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud (GCP), and ability to compare or integrate services across multi-cloud environments
What We Offer
- 100% remote work flexibility
- Opportunity to work in a cloud-first, modern tech environment
- Exposure to cutting-edge cloud architecture and enterprise-grade security practices
