Role Introduction

Hiring a Mid-Level IT Data Architect for the Business Analytics team in Lahore. This role is ideal for a hands-on data modelling expert with strong retail and e-commerce domain experience, proficient in dimensional & ER modelling, SQL, and end-to-end data warehouse architecture.

Requirements
  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using ER Studio or similar tools
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to support new initiatives and troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Develop and document ETL specification documents for engineering and integration teams
  • Create and maintain BI specification documents that support reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data requirements and translate them into robust data models
  • Design and optimize dimensional models for analytical and reporting use cases
  • Work closely with BI developers and data engineers to ensure alignment of data architecture with business needs
  • Support Cognos Framework Manager model design, enhancement, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and security policies
  • Contribute to data architecture best practices and standards
Specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5-8 years in data architecture or data modelling roles
  • Proficient in conceptual/logical/physical data modelling (ER Studio or Erwin)
  • Strong dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts
  • Advanced SQL and large dataset handling
  • Domain expertise in Retail Supply Chain, E-Commerce, Store TLOGs, Sales & Inventory
  • Experience writing clear ETL and BI specifications
  • Hands-on experience with Cognos Framework Manager
