Job Description

Position Summary The role of the Senior Software Engineer is to be a valued contributor on the Scrum team for TargetWeb , a next generation E-commerce application. Daily responsibilities creating and reviewing architecture for new feature development, supporting and training team members in the use of development best practice, and troubleshooting and analysis for existing system bugs as well as coding new user interface and service components. Emphasis in this role is on learning and growth, with a focus on quality and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop functionality in React and C# based on the direction of the product owner.
• Develop code to support the Shopify e-commerce platform.
• Support the development team and help incorporate coding best practices, secure coding, and proper version control.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.
  
  

Required Skills:

• 7 to 10 years of C# and the .NET Framework
• Experience in Azure functions, Azure App Services, Azure Storages, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Gateway would be a plus.
• Team leadership and mentorship experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java Script frameworks React experience preferred
• Knowledge of Shopify is an asset
• Strong understanding of OOP and the use the design patterns
• Troubleshooting code issues and familiarity with debugging in a Visual Studio environment
• Querying and working with data in a relational database with preference given to SQL Server & T-SQL
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Written and verbal communication skills Desired Competencies
• Knowledge of web security principles.
• Knowledge of RESTful service development
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture
• Cloud native application development experience AZURE
  
  

Qualifications:

Preferred Education and/or Experience B.S. or higher in CIS, MIS, CS, or other appropriate field of study. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
