We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Manager - Accounts & Finance to manage the full spectrum of our Accounts & Finance Department. This role is critical to ensuring robust financial operations, compliance, reporting, and team performance. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of financial systems, and extensive experience in managing finance operations in the IT industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Oversight & Leadership
  • Supervise and lead both Accounts and Finance teams, ensuring accountability, task allocation, and timely execution of responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between team members and the Head of Finance, providing strategic updates and recommendations
  • Drive goal setting, performance tracking, and reporting across the team
  • Organize team building sessions to foster collaboration and continuous learning
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IAS
  • Deliver comprehensive financial reporting packages and MIS reports to management and stakeholders
  • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decisions
  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws including income tax, sales tax, and withholding tax
  • Manage timely filings, tax payments, and liaison with FBR, PRA/SRB, EOBI/PESSI, and other authorities
  • Maintain audit readiness and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
  • Banking & Treasury Operations
  • Oversee daily bank transactions, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations
  • Handle foreign exchange conversions, negotiation of bank rates, and leasing/financing arrangements with financial institutions
  • Manage relationships with banks to ensure efficient operations and optimal fund management
  • Asset Management & Tools
  • Supervise company-wide asset tracking, tagging, and depreciation using asset management software tools
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure periodic physical verification and reconciliation
  • Accounting Software & Systems
  • Operate and supervise finance functions on QuickBooks Online (QBo) and other ERP/accounting systems
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills for financial modelling, data analysis, and dashboard creation
  • Identify and implement system enhancements or automation for process optimization
  • Internal Controls, SOPs & Policy Implementation
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company SOPs & policies
  • Continuously monitor compliance across all financial operations and rectify control weaknesses
  • Work with internal departments to embed finance policies into cross-functional processes
  • Team Management & Development
  • Delegate tasks based on team capacity and skillsets, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery
  • Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs, and lead regular progress check-ins
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members to build finance capabilities within the department
  • Interdepartmental & External Coordination
  • Coordinate with departments such as Admin, HR, Procurement, and Legal for cross-functional tasks
  • Represent the Finance Department in interactions with external vendors, auditors, regulators, and government agencies

Requirements

  • Education: CA Finalist, ACCA Member or ICMA
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in an IT or tech-based company
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBo), ERP systems, Consolidation & Group Reporting tools and asset management software
  • Strong command of Excel (pivot tables, financial models, data analysis)
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, IAS, Pakistan Taxation Laws, and company regulatory frameworks
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach to financial governance
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
