Position: Senior Estimator – MEP
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Shift: Night Shift
- Summer Timings: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Winter Timings: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
- Location: DHA Phase 8, Lahore
Overview
Mindwhiz is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior MEP Estimator with strong expertise in US-based estimation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates and supporting construction projects from the planning phase through execution. If you excel in MEP trades and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed material take-offs (MTOs) and cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
- Communicate bid details clearly with project managers, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Analyze design plans for constructability and provide cost-saving recommendations.
- Prepare, assemble, and submit bids/proposals for various contract types.
- Review tender documents and manage RFIs for accurate and timely bid submissions.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and subcontracting teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update the “Lessons Learned” database for continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of US-based estimation experience.
- Strong knowledge of all MEP trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
- Proficiency in PlanSwift, MS Office, and other estimation software/tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of project management and supervision is an added advantage.
