About The Role
The Senior Onboarding Specialist supports the delivery and design of our company-wide onboarding experience. You will guide and mentor our Onboarding Specialist(s) with day-to-day execution while you focus on the program's continuous improvement and impact on key business metrics like retention and engagement. You will serve as the lead facilitator and the primary owner of the new hire experience, ensuring it is world-class and a true reflection of our company's values and mission.

About The Role
The Senior Onboarding Specialist supports the delivery and design of our company-wide onboarding experience. You will guide and mentor our Onboarding Specialist(s) with day-to-day execution while you focus on the program's continuous improvement and impact on key business metrics like retention and engagement. You will serve as the lead facilitator and the primary owner of the new hire experience, ensuring it is world-class and a true reflection of our company's values and mission.
What You'll Do
Lead Facilitation & Content Curation:
- Act as the primary facilitator for key sessions of New Hire Orientation, delivering compelling content on company culture, vision, and strategy with passion and executive presence.
- Support the development, curation, and maintenance of all orientation content and materials, ensuring they are relevant, engaging, and current.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine and elevate content delivered by other departments during orientation, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact agenda
- Support the continuous evolution of the new hire orientation and onboarding strategy to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic organization.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the onboarding program, such as 90-day retention rates, new hire satisfaction (NPS), and time-to-productivity.
- Analyze data and feedback from new hire surveys (30, 60, 90-day) and stakeholder interviews to derive insights, report on trends, and drive programmatic improvements.
- Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of onboarding technologies, including modules within our HRIS and Learning Management System (LMS).
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the Onboarding Specialist(s), fostering a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
- Support team goals and objectives and manage workflow to ensure flawless execution of all logistical and administrative tasks.
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex issues related to new hires, onboarding processes, or compliance.
- Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with department heads and hiring managers to ensure alignment and drive accountability for a consistent and effective role-based onboarding experience.
- Serve as a point of contact for onboarding initiatives, program effectiveness, and new hire integration trends.
- Champion the importance of a structured onboarding experience across the organization, providing resources and training to managers.
- 2-4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or Talent Management.
- Experience with coaching and mentoring, with a passion for developing others.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation with a proven ability to engage diverse audiences and command a room.
- 1+ years directly focused on employee onboarding programs is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking and program management skills; the ability to translate high-level vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and program enhancements.
- Understanding of onboarding best practices and/or adult learning principles.
- High proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ADDIE, Kirkpatrick’s evaluation model, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and other adult learning theory
- Experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and/or Learning Management Systems (Seismic Learning).
