Senior Software Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD
Crossover
Date: 3 weeks ago

Contract type: Full time
Remote
You're an engineer who refuses to accept poor code quality, sluggish deployment cycles, or legacy development approaches. Your expertise extends beyond writing software—you architect AI-powered systems that render conventional engineering practices obsolete. If this resonates with you, continue reading.
The majority of software organizations continue to follow outdated patterns—manual debugging sessions, experimental deployment strategies, and capabilities that barely scratch the surface of AI beyond occasional Copilot assistance. Trilogy operates differently. AI permeates every aspect of our development workflow: from conceptualizing features to detecting bugs, resolving defects, and optimizing performance. This represents a complete integration of AI throughout the software development lifecycle to eliminate inefficiency, accelerate delivery, and engineer with exactness—not a superficial adoption of AI tooling.
In this position, you will analyze existing B2B products, deconstruct them, reconstruct them as cloud-native solutions, and enhance them with AI integration at every layer. Your work will encompass developing and shipping AI-enabled features, implementing advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for automated defect identification, and guaranteeing seamless releases—no outages, no interruptions, no compromises. If you seek a position where prolonged architectural debates take precedence over shipping software, look elsewhere.
If you're prepared to advance the frontier of AI-augmented software engineering and accelerate your professional trajectory, submit your application now. If you prefer remaining within your comfort zone, manually authoring test suites, or collaborating with teams that resist automation, this opportunity is not for you.
What You Will Be Doing
Hundreds of software businesses run on the Trilogy Business Platform. For three decades, Trilogy has been known for 3 things: Relentlessly seeking top talent, Innovating new technology, and incubating new businesses. Our technological innovation is spearheaded by a passion for simple customer-facing designs. Our incubation of new businesses ranges from entirely new moon-shot ideas to rearchitecting existing projects for today's modern cloud-based stack. Trilogy is a place where you can be surrounded with great people, be proud of doing great work, and grow your career by leaps and bounds.

What You Will Be Doing
- Employing analysis tools and RAG vector stores to detect, diagnose, and resolve product defects and address bugs.
- Utilizing AI development agents to architect, build, and ship innovative features for cloud-native applications.
- Guiding AI agents and serving as the quality assurance checkpoint for AI-generated outputs; AI outputs require validation through your engineering judgment.
- Repetitive Infrastructure Work: We minimize burdensome infrastructure overhead so you can concentrate on building innovative solutions.
- Meeting Overload: We prioritize your development skills over conference room time. Anticipate more engineering, less discussion.
- Deploy AI-powered features to optimize workflows and equip service providers with cutting-edge tools.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in commercial software development, focusing on production code for server-side web applications
- At least 1 year of experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native development (any cloud vendor)
- Experience using GenAI code assistants (e.g., Github Copilot, Cursor, v0.dev); we are not looking for traditional ML engineers without LLM experience
- Experience writing production-level code in at least two general-purpose coding languages, such as Typescript, Javascript, Python, or C#
- Experience developing APIs
- Experience using SQL databases
