Senior System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator/Sr. System Administrator to join our IT Operations department. The role involves managing and maintaining our on-premises and cloud server infrastructures, virtual environments, and core IT services. The System Administrator will ensure smooth operations of servers, virtualization platforms, applications, and related networking by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration and maintenance of IT-related VMs and employees’ VMs and the hosting bare-metal servers.
• Administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of ProxmoxVE and virtualization networking (vm-bridges, interfaces).
• Backup management, including Proxmox Backups, NAS administration, and email account backups.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux OS (all distributions) and Windows Servers (DHCP, DNS, AD, etc.).
• Management and troubleshooting of web/application services: Apache, Nginx (including reverse proxy), MySQL/Postgres, PHP, LDAP, Nagios, Samba, FTP, DNS, DHCP.
• Deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of web applications and server-level dependencies.
• SSL certificate installation, renewal, and troubleshooting across platforms.
• Monitoring of servers and VMs through LibreNMS.
• Handling Apache-Guacamole for remote access.
• Administration of GitLab and related developer infrastructure.
• Management of Google Workspace accounts, including emails, groups, and related configurations.
• Slack accounts administration
• Experienced with DNS management (Namecheap, AWS Route53) for record handling.
• System security hardening, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
• Enrollment, administration, and troubleshooting of Turnstile systems.
• Scripting (Bash/Python) for automation and administrative tasks.
• Coordination with foreign clients for requirement gathering, issue resolution, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Linux administration (security management, rights management, package installation, boot troubleshooting).
• Proficiency with ProxmoxVE, VMware/ESXi, KVM, LXC, and container-based virtualization.
• Networking knowledge: VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, firewalls, DHCP and basic routing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and hosting platforms (AWS, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems and DevOps environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for system, OS, networking, and application-level issues.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with clients and document processes.
• It is a full-time, On-Site job.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, LibreNMS).
• Exposure to automation/configuration management tools.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and ITSM practices.
