As a member of the Site Engineering Team, the Utility & Facility Manager has responsibility for all day-to-day operational engineering matters on the site, reporting to the engineering manager. Utility Manager develops and supports to prepare the GMS Pakistan site business plans & site continuity plant. The Utility & Facility Manager provides functional leadership to the utility and facility teams. This includes smooth operations if utilities equipment and facility maintenance on day-to-day basis.

Education, Skills & Experience

• BE – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial & Manufacturing Industrial & manufacturing is required for this role.
• 4 - 6 years of experience in pharma setting with proven performance track record
• Strong influencing skills, including upward influence to set medium- and long-term direction and drive plant-wide change
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels
• Collaborative team player who works well with stakeholders from all functions
• Energetic and change oriented, fostering a motivating workplace

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

• Participate in the Annual and Strategic Planning activity. Provide useful inputs regarding existing production and maintenance capacities, and requirements, to achieve the Projected Plans.
• Prepare Engineers and Supervisors for Succession Planning.
• Actively participate in preparation of Business Continuity Plans.
• Participation in preparation of Site Facility Master Plan.
• Actively contributes in technology transfer processes to move towards automation.
• Apply new technology as a driving force for process simplification, economical and Effective payback times.
• Participate in preparing the annual site CAPEX and ensure completion as per target.
  
  
  

Operational Business

• Ensure that all engineering utilities activities – planned preventive maintenance, quality of work and staff safety – are undertaken in a manner consistent with GSK Customer Service and cost targets.
• Ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in all work processes.
• Control and manage the activities of all staff of facility maintenance area to ensure that Production facilities are in a ready state to meet the production and all other General Engineering support.
• Ensure that all facility maintenance activities are going as per plan
• Ensure continuous improvement of facility
• Planning activities related to the maintaining and repairing of Physical systems of buildings.
• Ensure efficient corrective and maintenance plans on all utilities systems.
• Optimize the utilization of available Engineering resources to maximize outputs.
• Minimize and control utility equipment breakdowns.
• Planning the activities related to the maintaining and repairing of Physical systems of utilities equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and provide engineering inputs Support services
• Ensure continuous improvement, economical and efficient Engineering process.
• Control and manage engineering supplies and contractual service to ensure satisfied quality, spare inventory and service level.
• Monitor Engineering related Risks Assessment procedures as well as Self Inspections.
• Identify and implement cost saving projects to achieve site cost reduction targets.
  
  
  

Compliance and Procedural Implementations

• Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedure so that engineering
• activities are operated safely, support production, and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements
• Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability.
• Ensure that plant engineering design and construction comply with legal requirements.
• Liaise with Government authorities and Utility Companies to fulfill Regulatory
• requirement and smooth operation of site.
• Ensure that EHS & Quality L1 audits of the area are conducted as per plan.
• Timely compliance of EHS & Quality L2 audit actions without any overdue.
• Prepare and implement Utility upgradation strategy to delivery timely good results.
• Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and Safety regulations and practices applicable to this position.
• Providing Engineering support for preparation of Site Quality plans periodically and ensures compliance and continuous Quality improvement.
• Identify engineering related EHS performance measures, set targets and routinely review performance and progress.
• Ensure compliance with Global GSK policies and procedures comprising of GMP, ETCM, TPs, BCP, EHS, GQP and QMS policies.

• Ensure adequate selection, training and development of staff to achieve their Maximum potential to meet business objectives.
• Be a role model on Leadership essential behaviors
• User performance development plans effectively for better performance and development of teams.
• Empower young engineers to make business decisions.
• Safely, support EHS and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated

• Conduct Risks Assessment as well as Self Inspections.
• Trains facility maintenance support staff for smooth & safe execution of
• maintenance work.
