Software Quality Assurance Manager - Automation

As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for the overall quality of the dubizzle.com web and backend platforms. Your aim will be to maintain and improve the quality of the existing features on the platform as well as new features being released. You will work with engineering and product teams as well as a team of automation and manual QA engineers to achieve our organization's quality goals.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality of the platform, including functional and non-functional aspects
• Develop and track QA metrics measuring the overall quality of the platform at any given time
• Define and update quality standards in collaboration with the engineering teams
• Drive adoption of QA best practices across development teams
• Define the Automation and Manual QA strategy and roadmaps
  
  
  

Quality management

• Proactively identify improvements in QA processes
• Participate in phases of key projects: requirements analysis, test planning, test execution, and test reporting
• Ensure testability of new and existing features
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage through manual and automated test suites
• Oversee and contribute to test planning and test case design
• Proactively review any quality failures and make proposals on how to avoid them from occurring again
• Select and maintain technology tools related to the QA process
  
  
  

Team management

• Manage a team of Automation and Manual QA engineers to deliver on the quality strategy and roadmap
• Monitor performance of QA team members
• Provide feedback to team members through regular 1-1 and performance reviews
• Able to support the growth of technical skills of QA team members in both manual and automation tracks
  
  
  

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in the software testing field for web apps, mobile apps and web services
• 3+ years of experience managing a team
• Experience setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) systems, Github Actions preferred
• Experience using Playwright with Typescript
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to deliver projects in a fast paced tight deadline environment
• Able to prioritize tasks based on impact, implementability and resources availability
• Able to motivate others
• High degree of problem solving skill and sound judgment
• Must be a very driven, curious and creative individual
