Powerful Analytics enables pizza shop owners to dissect the pepperoni vs. mushroom trends The Position: As a SQA Analyst, you hold the keys to green lighting our code. You’re here to make sure the engineers are doing things right so that our customers can order pizza without fail. You make sure that all development meets specifications, and you are the last line of defense against introducing harmful bugs into the wild. Thrive POS has many products that we support, and this position will afford the opportunity to work on all of them as most systems are interdependent on the other, from Online Ordering to the Setup module to the Point of Sale, as well as third party integrations The selected individual will work in the Contour Software Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the software engineers and QA team and review written specifications and requirements to create written test plans in conjunction with the features they are developing
• Complete manual and automated testing on new feature development and bug fixes to ensure that all work meets written requirements, passes usability tests and does not introduce any new bugs
• Develop and execute overall product manual test plans to supplement automated test coverage and sanity check prior to release, for software as well as hardware integration where appropriate
• Develop and maintain automated tests using tools such as Cypress Test Framework
• Ensure that tests are run on all platforms and browsers
• Research reported defects or issues in production environment, use logs, replicate behavior in development environment and accurately document defects with steps to reproduce for engineers
• Monitor quality after releases, using logs and error reports to ensure there are no unusual results
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and bi-weekly sprint planning with the product teams
• Assist in escalated support training and mentoring of support and PSO teams
• Follow defined development team process to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner, drive for results and release

Job Qualifications:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or related discipline
• 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a similar domain or industry
• Sufficient technical / programming skills to develop automated tests using the Cypress framework with JavaScript
• Working knowledge of hardware integration, browser farm / operating system simulation
• SQL skills and ability to query New Relic and other logs to research issues, develop quality dashboards and monitoring tools
• Self-directed, results driven, and motivated, willing to stand up for quality
• Excellent documentation skills, detailed oriented and very logical
• Ability to “think like a user”, accomplished in process management, able break down processes into step-by-step tests and think creatively to discover all the possible ways a user may approach an application
• Ability to work through sometimes tedious manual test processes with perseverance and a passion for thoroughness
• Diplomatic communication skills and interpersonal savvy - ability to motivate software engineers to improve quality and to communicate flaws in a constructive way
