SQA Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in software testing and QA processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and managing test cases, conducting manual and automated testing, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the highest quality of deliverables. A focus on documentation and effective communication skills is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance:
  
  

○ Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

○ Perform manual and automated (optional) testing on web and mobile applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

○ Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

○ Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and new feature releases.

○ Work with cross-functional teams to review system requirements and ensure that the QA process aligns with project timelines.

○ Maintain and improve QA best practices by working within an agile framework and conducting sprint reviews.

• Documentation:
  
  

○ Write and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.

○ Generate QA reports and metrics for stakeholders to review project health and quality progress.

○ Provide feedback on user manuals, release notes, and technical documentation.

○ Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  
  

○ Communicate clearly and effectively with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify issues and align on quality goals.

○ Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, ensuring QA objectives are met.

○ Provide training to other team members on new QA processes or tools when needed.

• Tools and Technologies:
  
  

○ Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira, Selenium, Postman, or other automated testing frameworks.

○ Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

○ Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance, focusing on software and web-based applications.
• Strong proficiency in creating and executing manual and automated (optional) test cases.
• Experience with Jira for defect tracking and project management.
• Expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficient in writing clear and detailed documentation (test plans, defect reports, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Preferred Skills:
• Experience in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Knowledge of security testing and usability testing.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Additional Qualities:
