Position: Sr. Python Developer
Location: Pakistan

Summary

Senior Python Developer at Systems Limited responsible to write and redesign programming scripts, application interfaces, and websites.

Responsibilities:

• Help design and implement functional requirements
• Write new programs and applications to streamline business functions and increase productivity company-wide
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code
• Maintain existing programs and apps used by the company, troubleshooting to spot potential problems and ensuring they continue to function smoothly.
• Reprogram existing databases to increase functionality and data capacity.
• Streamline web portals by writing new programs in addition to designing and maintaining websites.
• Manage and maintain company servers to keep them functioning efficiently across the network.
• Create digital tools and applications to monitor online traffic and maximize the customer experience on web pages.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Manage testing and bug fixes.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Coach junior team members.
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred
• 4+ years software development experience using Python and Django/Flask.
• REST API development experience using Django-Rest-Framework.
• Experience on one of the JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, Angular, React; preferably React.
• Understanding of most web vulnerability (XSS, Clickjacking, SQL Injection)
• Awareness of good web security practices (OWASP checklist, httpOnly cookies, HSTS)
• Already worked with error reporting tool such as Sentry Newrelic, Raygun.
• Understanding and experience on test-driven development, code quality and code reviews, source management preferably using Git and pytest.
• Development experience with Mayan Electronic Document Management System is a big plus.
• Willingness and ability to learn and apply new technologies, best practice and agile software development methodologies.
• Have both written and spoken English proficiency.
