Your Role In Driving Growth And Innovation
As a Staff Design & Proposal and Technical Sales Engineer – Systems South, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting sales visits and generating enquiries.
- Addressing client's concerns with effective solutions using your technical expertise.
- Developing suitable proposals for solutions.
- Ensuring the proper and timely techno/commercial proposal submission and following up with key stakeholders to ensure both their technical and commercial requirements are met.
- Ensuring that specifications are developed to our advantage in the form of tender documents/RFQs.
- Managing customer trainings facilitated by OEMs such as Rockwell Automation, Endress+Hauser, etc.
- Reviewing and analyzing RFQs with respect to technical & commercial requirements, proposing Turn-Key solutions (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Automation).
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures relating to business conduct, meeting all OEM ethical & legal standards with regards to commercial processes.
- Responsibly executing all bids and proposals while minimizing risk in all outgoing bids.
- Providing technical and commercial pre-sales and sales support to exceed strategic targets.
- Working well with all stakeholders to drive customer-centric solutions and managing day-to-day departmental matters.
- Focusing on improving sales team effectiveness by supporting international technical teams and developing integrated systems and tools.
- Aligning with all internal key stakeholders and ensuring task completion within agreed timelines.
- Strategizing effectively during the pre-sales cycle to mitigate risks and minimize the impact on project execution.
- Collaborating with global OEMs to proactively track Capex programs and guarantee user specifications.
- Leading the effort for detailed Capex/Sales plans related to automation solutions and services.
- Analyzing key accounts, developing penetration strategies, and executing tactics to increase market share.
- Diagnosing, documenting, and solving customer problems with seamless solutions, extracting and validating actual solutions with value delivered, and paving the way for value propositions.
- Understanding contractual terms & conditions and effectively negotiating with customers.
- Leading the team toward the best solutions acceptable to the customer.
- Handling all problems and issues the team encounters and ensuring the timely submission of their proposals.
- Training new team members on all available solutions and keeping the entire team updated on new solution introductions in the market.
- Graduate in Process, Electrical, Instrument, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detail Design Study.
- Experience in hydraulic component selection, instrument tubes & fittings.
- Experienced with various types of chemical injection skids and Wellhead control systems.
- Good oral and written English.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of AUTOCAD/3D Modelling is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Oil and Gas industry standards.
- Good understanding of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
