Position Overview:

The Team Lead – Legal will oversee and manage the company’s transactional and litigation portfolio, ensuring effective legal representation across civil, criminal, labor, and regulatory matters. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with external counsel, internal stakeholders, and business teams, while providing strategic legal guidance to safeguard the company’s interests. The Team Lead will be responsible for managing day-to-day legal matters, advising on legal risks, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's transactional and litigation portfolio across civil, criminal, labor, and regulatory matters, collaborating with external counsel and monitoring relevant proceedings to ensure effective representation. Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, responses, and other relevant filings, to support litigation efforts and ensure that the company’s interests are effectively represented.
  • Assess legal risks associated with disputes and develop proactive strategies to mitigate potential liabilities, protecting the company's legal and business interests.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal records and case files, ensuring that all documentation is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Provide support to the legal team on various corporate legal matters, assisting with legal research, document review, and offering general legal advice as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to business teams on routine matters, including reviewing and drafting legal documents, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements.
  • Work closely and effectively with business teams to provide legal support, ensuring alignment between legal and business objectives. Advise on legal matters related to business operations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum qualification of LLB (Bachelor of Laws).
  • 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house counsel at a reputable company.
