Technical Purchaser

We are hiring a Technical Purchaser responsible for sourcing machine spare parts, fabrication work, outsourced repair and maintenance services, and technical consumables for a manufacturing facility.

The role requires practical market knowledge of Lahore’s industrial supply areas, established supplier contacts, and the ability to manage urgent and routine procurement to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure machine and mould spare parts, electrical and mechanical components, and technical consumables


• Source and coordinate fabrication, machining, welding, mould repair, and workshop jobs


• Arrange and manage outsourced plant repair and maintenance works, including:


• Paint jobs


• Minor civil works


• Utility-related and facility maintenance tasks


• Handle emergency procurement of critical spares to minimize machine downtime


• Identify and procure highest-quality parts at the most competitive cost


• Liaise with maintenance and engineering teams to confirm technical specifications


• Visit suppliers, workshops, and contractors for sourcing, follow-ups, and inspections


• Maintain supplier relationships and identify alternate vendors for critical items


• Track procurement activities and maintain basic records

Market Knowledge & Supplier Network

The candidate must be familiar with and have working contacts in Lahore’s industrial supply markets, including but not limited to:

• Brandreth Road – industrial spares, bearings, heaters, mechanical components


• Daroghanwala / Shahdara – fabrication, machining, mould repair, rewinding


• Electronics repair markets – sensors, PLC cards, drives, control electronics


• Local contractors for civil, repair, and maintenance works

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years experience in technical procurement or engineering support


• Strong understanding of machine spare parts, electrical and mechanical components


• Practical experience sourcing from local industrial markets and workshops


• Ability to evaluate quality, compatibility, and cost of parts and services


• Experience coordinating external repair and civil work vendors


• Comfortable handling urgent, time-critical procurement


• Valid driving license and own vehicle (mandatory)
