Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and driven Video Editor specializing in planning and post-production to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and editing video content. This role focuses on the pre-production and post-production phases of video creation, with an emphasis on storytelling, editing techniques, and project management rather than camera operation.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Strategy:
o Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects
o Create detailed shot lists and production plans
o Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and creative vision Manage project timelines and coordinate with filming teams
2. Content Editing:
o Edit raw footage to create cohesive, engaging final products
o Apply color correction, sound design, and visual effects as needed o Incorporate graphics, text, and music to enhance storytelling
o Review and provide feedback on footage quality and coverage
3. Project Management:
o Ensure final deliverables meet client specifications and quality standards
o Manage digital assets and maintain organized project files o Track project timelines and coordinate with team members
o Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
4. Technical Production:
o Utilize editing software to create high-quality video content
o Apply appropriate techniques for different video styles and formats
o Ensure technical quality of all deliverables
o Stay current with emerging video technologies and techniques
5. Quality Control & Improvement:
o Review completed projects for quality and consistency
o Incorporate feedback from clients and team members
o Identify opportunities for process improvement
o Document best practices and workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of video editing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other post-production tools (After Effects, Audition, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong understanding of storytelling, editing techniques, and pre-production planning.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Creative vision, attention to detail, and ability to work within budgets and deadlines.
- Portfolio showcasing editing skills and creativity.
Timing: 8pm to 12am or 1am to 5am
Position: Part-time (Hybrid)
Location: The Enterprise Building, near Thokar, Multan Road Lahore
