Role Overview
We are seeking skilled and experienced Virtual Medical Receptionists/Assistants to provide administrative support for UK-based healthcare providers, including private clinics, GP surgeries, and other medical facilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in or with the UK healthcare system and a strong understanding of NHS or private practice protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Management:
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using EMIS, SystmOne, or other UK-specific healthcare software.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updates and verification.
- Process referrals, repeat prescriptions, and follow-ups as required.
- Assist with prior authorization processes and insurance queries (private healthcare).
- Triage patient calls and direct them appropriately.
- Provide support for telemedicine appointments, ensuring seamless communication between patients and doctors.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and UK-specific confidentiality standards.
- Input and manage medical data with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deliver a high level of patient care and satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and empathetically.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals, labs, and third parties as necessary.
- 2-3 years of experience in medical reception or administrative roles, with mandatory exposure to UK healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with NHS and private healthcare practices, including EMIS, SystmOne, or similar tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a neutral or UK-accented tone preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in healthcare software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Understanding of UK data protection laws (GDPR) and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours to align with UK time zones.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
- Certification in medical administration or relevant training.
- Experience working as a virtual assistant in healthcare.
- Familiarity with UK-based medical terminology and workflows.
