Water Resource Management Specialist

We work with regulatory authorities, utilities, international financial institutions (USAID, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNIDO, GIZ, KfW, AFD and European Union (EU), etc.), and services sector organizations both in public & private sectors.

Responsibilities

The specialist, with the international specialist, will conduct data analysis, subprojects identification, feasibility study, conceptual designing, and identification of relevant adaptation options. Experience in similar projects, particularly with World Bank, ADB, AFD or other development partners, is preferred. The specialist will be responsible for developing reports and using modeling software for schemes planning. The specialist needs to have experience related to Flood and Drainage. As deputy team leader, the specialist will assist and act as team leader in the absence of the Team Leader.

Qualifications

• The specialist must have a graduate degree (preferably a post-graduate degree) in water resource or related fields
• Minimum of 15 years of experience working on similar projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, management, and writing skills are required
• Strong understanding of water resource management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in hydrological modeling, GIS, and data analysis software.
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental laws and regulations.
