The post holder will ensure a comprehensive effective admissions and administrative service to all consultants, specialist nurses, medical staff and their team within the clinical unit to allow the smooth and efficient performance of the service. You will be expected to liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments and external facilities to ensure continuity in achieving excellence in patient care.
As post holder, you are responsible for the tasks such as but not limited to:
Ensures patients are admitted in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
Improves delivery of patient care by integrating admissions procedures with other care staff, including working with various departments
Develops, implements, and maintains revenue-generating strategies related to admissions and patient capacity
Determines and implements admissions best-practices, develops and revises admission and discharge processes, and oversees patient support staff
Records and reports data related to admissions, discharges, and admission inquiries to senior management
Manages bed availability and occupancy to maximize bed occupancy and patient traffic according to the policies, regulations and guidelines
Prepares budgets to enable admissions department to meet financial goals, keeps track of expenditure and beds and enforces corrective action when necessary
Manage hospital’s admissions systems while coordinating with the relevant department
Discuss challenges and market trends with the Director of Nursing, Operations and/ or Medical Director
Develop strong rapport between BIH and the community
Schedules and conducts tours of facilities and rooms as or when required
Reduces admissions conflicts and discrepancies by collaborating with physicians and assigns beds according to priority
To be an effective and innovative member of the administrative team and to contribute to the cover for other administrators during leave periods
May interview patient or patient's representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission
Accepts ownership for actions and decisions, accomplishments and actively explores new opportunities on the job to enhance skills and knowledge
Confers with physicians, and nursing, housekeeping, transport, and other staff members to coordinate and schedule admission & discharge of patient
To maintain the confidentiality of all patient’s data in line with organisational policy
Perform other duties as assigned to support BIH Mission, Vision and Values
Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management or related fields
Experience: 2 – 3 years of work experience in the related field

Excellent communication skills verbal & written
Tech-Savvy or Familiarity with systemic patient record
