Assistant Commercial Finance Manager – Marketing Overheads Management (G34)

REPORTS TO : Commercial Finance Manager (G35)

FUNCTION : FINANCE


SUB-FUNCTION : Marketing Finance/Commercial Finance


LOCATION : Pakistan



PURPOSE STATEMENT:



The Assistant Commercial Finance Manager’s role is to be a key support to Commercial Finance Manager in ensuring appropriate common practices and standards to drive commercial focus and facilitate decision making.



The Assistant Commercial Finance Manager will also be key to ensuring a sound control environment to address business risks and to up-lift financial acumen within Marketing functions.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Financial & Decision-Making Support for Marketing Overheads management


Description:

  • Provide support in financial support and monitoring on marketing overheads management to ensure budget are in accordance to plan

  • Reconciliation of all financial budgeting and able to understand the variance analysis

  • Ensure proper documentation on all pricing maintenance in the system to ensure proper records management

  • Timely update on Market return management to support the Non-criminal loss reporting

  • Manage and submits quarterly CAPEX reporting and request from the budgetholders

  • Ability to deliver quality insights to support dynamic Marketing Investment resource allocation



  • Control Environment

Description:


  • Ensure control surrounding balance sheet recon, and pricing maintenance are in accordance to relevant standards and guidelines

  • Maintenance and accracy of master data maintenance



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION



Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • Degree educated ideally in commerce / accounting / finance, with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)

  • Experience in a similar dynamic operating environment – matrix cost base with multiple stakeholders to manage

  • Broad experience in large global organisation
  • Influencing and good interpersonal skills

  • Experience in strategic analysis, data analytics and business modelling, project planning and execution, commercial acumen,
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate and present complex information

  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, proactive, collaborative and consultative

  • Familiar with SAP

  • Attention to detail, diligent and resilient

  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills

  • Proactive and adaptable to change

  • Continuous drive for process improvement



Relationship Objective:


  • Business unit managers
    –credible and strong working relationship. Act as trusted business and expert advisor in order to challenge and support the business and its expenditure to improve overall performance of the company

  • Financial control
    - collaborate to provide end to end finance delivery for regions / areas / end markets

  • Finance Shared Services Centre
    - collaborate closely with Finance Shared Service centres to provide high quality, timely management information to the business
  • IT / Project Management – work together to deliver changes / improvements to current analytic tools and models

  • Improve working relationship and performance with GBS Finance and BAT Malaysia & Singapore
