Job Description


Scope of Role


The role would be responsible to support the ER/IR Manager in planning, coordinating, implementing and managing welfare, discipline and all facets of statutory compliance for PCI direct and contracted / contingent work force


He/she will ensure all disciplinary violations are investigated with in stipulated time and actions are taken strictly as per the local labor laws. He/she would be the focal person on redressal of employees’ grievances. He/ she will also support in settlement of all types of labor and industrial related disputes and shall coordinate / liaise with Labor Department, Govt Agencies and CBA Union when required


He/she will facilitate the Manager ER/IR in negotiations with the CBA Union(s) including analyzing the situation, ground work, suggesting options available, preparing financial analysis if the situation involves financial impacts and facilitate in agreements with CBA


During the course of ensuring ER & IR compliance, the role would interact with Govt officials and discuss relevant issues, seek necessary alignments and execute decisions agreed. He/ she would be a lead in all employees’ welfare activities encompassing the affairs of canteen, laundry transport, duty timings, overtime, WPPF, Umrah and Hajj draws and any such areas related to workers


The role involves extensive coordination internally and externally and therefore would require expertise in negotiating skills. Mandate of this position is to ensure Indutrial Peace, total Human Rights & Statutory Compliances, managing CBA Unions and welfare of employees while ensuring ethical practices




Accountabilities


  • Lead employees welfare intiatives and facilitate employees on company sponsored benefits to include Hajj and Umrah packages, Annual Rewards and Dinners. Strategize and implement short and long term actions to address, reduce and avoid welfare related operational and administrative concerns.

  • Lead Statutory Compliance for PepsiCo Employees including Contractors Licenses, EOBI, PESSI, GLI, Education Cess, Medical / Death Claims.

  • Support Time Office Manager to ensure compliance on attendance, working Hours, Overtime, Leave and wages.

  • Lead annual screening,working, auditing and disbursement of Bonuses and Workers Profit Participation Funds.

  • Liaison with Govt departments in all types of Industrial licenses, Labor disputes and implications of Govt’s labor related decisions.

  • Lead implemention of statutory / Human Rights controls through Human Resource Information System (HRIS), conduct fit analysis and suggest periodic improvements to suit business needs and better controls during routine operations.
  • Back up Manager ER / IR on ER / IR issues in his absence
  • Back up Manager Time Office & Manager Employees Benefits in their absence.



Qualifications/Requirements


Key Skills/Experience Required





  • Expert negotiations & investigation skills.

  • Advance level in Local Labor Laws and understanding of Human Rights Policies.

  • Experience in Human Resource Core Areas.

  • Experience of handling Unionized Staff / CBA, preferably in MNCs.
