The Land Registration in Merged Areas (LRMA) activity is a United States Agency for International Development, (USAID) funded project that will support the establishment of a land registration system in the seven districts of the Merged Areas. The activity will improve the accessibility of land records; effectuate land transactions; allow the use of land as collateral and complement the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s efforts under the Settlement and Land Record activity.
Position Overview:
DAI/LRMA seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist the POC Lead, in the implementation of public outreach and communications activities. The position will report to Public Outreach and Communication Lead and will be based in the Peshawar LRMA office This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of Public outreach and engagement.
Major Responsibilities:
The person accepting this assignment will provide support to the activities related to mass awareness, public outreach, and strengthening community access to land registration and settlement services in selected sub-district of Peshawar, Khyber, Kurram, and Bajaur districts. Training will be conducted over the first 7 days, with open-door access to the team for follow-up questions and support.
Support in the following activities:
- Assist POC Lead in process documentation of LRMA’s public outreach and communications activities.
- Support in preparation of community awareness, campaigns, and outreach activities and training records management
- Liaison with content writer/contributors for timely submission of story outlines and scripts for the production of the content.
- Responsible for circulating agenda and story outlines among Content Advisory Group (CAG) members before the meeting.
- Facilitate CAG meetings as a note taker to record the specialized inputs from the CAG members.
- Assist POC Lead in organizing, planning, and conducting quarterly review meetings of the Community mobilization team.
- Update database records of contributors/talent of radio shows, Public Awareness messages (PSA), and other audio, video, and digital products.
- Responsible for liaison with the community mobilization (CM) team and other sub-contract for implementing public outreach interventions as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work / Sociology / Gender Studies or relevant fields.
- Fresh graduates with a completed degree can apply.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Possess good communication skills (Both written and verbal)
- Must be flexible on working hours.
Work Experience:

Language Skills:
Have good written communication skills. Communicate in both verbal and written Urdu and English languages.
