As an Engineer in the Embedded Software team, you will work on developing and maintaining features that enable u-blox products to work in the field and in customers hands. We work closely with several engineering teams to define requirements, implement and integrate features, as well as test and optimize every aspect of our software. The job provides an opportunity to do highly challenging, interesting work in a global R&D team
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in design and development of software for real-time embedded systems using C/C++
- Embedded software porting, performance analysis and optimizations using advanced development tools (IDE compilers, debuggers, target trace)
- Maintain Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) features in products
- Implement new features according to a requirement specification and project plan
- Assist in definition and verification phase of associated software functionality.
- Analyze feedback or nonconformities, provide workarounds, or develop bug fixes.
- Maintain build environment, debug and development tools for software development teams
- Maintain coding guidelines and quality standards.
Your Skills & Experience:
- BSc/MSc degree in electrical engineering, computer science/electrical engineering, computer science/electronics
- Typically, 2-3 years relevant experience of software development
- Have competent understanding of IoT domain, applications and usecases.
- Programming languages and tools: C, C++, Python
- Excellent debugging skills
- Previous experience of development in Cross Platform development in embedded domain
- Ability to work as a member of bigger projects. Flexible team player.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills in speaking and writing
- Working knowledge of wireless protocols 3G/4G and 3GPP standards.
