Principal BI-DW Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and implement Data Warehouse architecture, analytics data stores, and reporting and BI solutions


• Design and enhance ETL programs and processes using Pentaho, implementing data transformation rules and data validations into the data warehouses


• Troubleshoot issues and tune at all layers: database, ETL, and presentation


• Develop target data models including data policies for sensitive data assets, security policies, back-up, and recovery specifications


• Develop database solutions by designing proposed system, defining database physical structure, and functional capabilities


• Work closely with BI and Analytics team members to assess new technologies and solutions


• Help implement data strategy, data governance processes, and maintenance of business definitions, policies and glossaries for data assets


• Exposure on techniques that can be used to optimize performances with large data sets at both ETL and database level. (It will be important in future as our data will grow)

Experience Requirement

• Must have at least 6+ years hands-on development experience.

Desired Skill Set

• Strong development experience.


• Strong database and data warehouse concepts


• Work experience in database & data warehouse designing.


• Work experience in BI tools.


• Work experience in ETL tools like Pentaho and, Talend or similar.
