Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Tester)

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive SQA (Software Quality Assurance) Manual Tester to join our team. As an SQA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough manual testing. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in manual testing, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail


Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing on software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.


• Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.


• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to validate software functionality and behavior.


• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.


• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.


• Participate in requirements analysis and review sessions to gain a thorough understanding of software features and functionality.


• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, suggesting and implementing best practices for quality assurance.


• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle.


• Provide accurate and timely status reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect metrics.


• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in manual testing techniques and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


• 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual testing.


• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.


• Familiarity with various testing techniques, such as functional, regression, integration, and system testing.


• Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.


• Knowledge of bug tracking tools and processes for defect reporting and tracking.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate test results and issues.


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
