Carbonteq is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will work closely with the Customer Support, Technical Support and Development teams, assisting customers and performing in-depth troubleshooting for arising issues.


Responsibilities:



  • You will be responsible for tickets assigned to you on JIRA, and will troubleshoot the issue until resolved, involving any teams or resources required.

  • Coming up with workarounds where possible, while providing long term fixes through changes in the code of the application.

  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure overall quality of your code.

  • Document changes in the code, fixes and troubleshooting processes.

  • Collaborate with the development team and perform development tasks as required.




Must Have



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required

  • 4+ Years of experience in PHP and its frameworks especially (Laravel/Symfony)




Demonstrable experience required in:



  • Proficient understanding of backend language PHP and framework Laravel/Symfony

  • Proficient understanding of databases SQL/MySQL

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

  • Experienced with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (AngularJS, Node JS)

  • Good understanding of test-driven development and tools (e.g. Jasmine, JSLint)

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, (e.g. Git, SVN)

  • Knowledge of design patterns solid principles

  • Understanding of Domain driven design

  • Basic understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

  • Proven track record of client-facing support experience is preferable

  • Experience interacting with QA and Engineering teams
