Driver, Center of Excellence in Women and Child Health

Introduction

The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment intervention






This is a close ended position

Responsibilities

• operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner


• transports staff / patients and goods / office supplies / laboratory specimens


• maintains defensive driving


• keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside


• maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, transportation forms / log book, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management


• performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required


• coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions


• responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers, and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrive


• safely carry goods, office supplies, medicines etc. and place at assigned locations during transportation


• perform special duty in driving international guests from donor agencies as per direction(s) from management


• any other task / duty as assigned by the management


• carry out daily inspections of vehicles ensuring cleanliness inside and out


• maintaining daily record on the transportation log-book / sheet

Requirements

• current, valid driving license
