IDR is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Communications and Marketing Trainee. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a solid foundation in the field of communications. As a trainee, you will work closely with our experienced communications team, learning and contributing to various aspects of internal and external communications initiatives.
You will also play a pivotal role in translating concepts and ideas into visually captivating designs. Your ability to combine artistic flair with technical proficiency will be essential in creating visually stunning graphics across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team, project managers, and clients to develop visually engaging materials that align with our brand identity and effectively communicate our message.
Create visually appealing designs for various marketing materials, including digital and print collateral, social media graphics, website banners, and promotional materials.
- Assist in preparing internal communications materials, including presentations, memos, and employee communications.
- Conceptualize and develop innovative design concepts that effectively communicate our brand's vision and objectives.
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects, adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining high quality in all deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience, and develop design solutions that meet their needs.
- Utilize industry-standard design software and tools to produce high-quality designs, illustrations, and layouts.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, and integrate them into design projects when appropriate.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, and deliverables are of the highest standard.
- Take feedback and iterate on designs, incorporating suggestions and making necessary revisions in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, mass communications, or a related field.
- Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and other relevant tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design styles and techniques.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles is a plus.
