Job Purpose
As the Financial Analyst you are expected to provide Financial Reporting support to the Financial Controller. This includes reports on a regular basis to facilitate managerial decision. Financial statements preparation with the assigned markets, gathering financial forecasting information from a variety of sources/systems, within the timetable and in the forms required by Corporate guidelines.
Education, Experience & Skills
University educated (Degree) in Finance, Accountancy and Business
Professional Accountancy Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage
1-3 years of field experience in Financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills - ability to gather and analyze data from a wide range of sources.
Coordination, planning and organization skills - demonstrated ability to prioritize workload in order to meet critical deadlines
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the reporting of financial results with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow which is accurate, complete and:
Fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and any other regulations
Consistently applies accounting policies which are appropriate to the current business environment
Tightly controls transaction activity that operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls
Delivers insight to the Division in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required
Review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans
Owns the Market balance sheets including approval of reconciliations
Review of accounting papers
Supports and is responsible for the inputs to the external and internal financial audits for their Division
