Financial Analyst

Job Purpose

As the Financial Analyst you are expected to provide Financial Reporting support to the Financial Controller. This includes reports on a regular basis to facilitate managerial decision. Financial statements preparation with the assigned markets, gathering financial forecasting information from a variety of sources/systems, within the timetable and in the forms required by Corporate guidelines.

Education, Experience & Skills

• University educated (Degree) in Finance, Accountancy and Business




• Professional Accountancy Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage




• 1-3 years of field experience in Financial reporting.




• Strong analytical skills - ability to gather and analyze data from a wide range of sources.




• Coordination, planning and organization skills - demonstrated ability to prioritize workload in order to meet critical deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the reporting of financial results with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow which is accurate, complete and:




• Fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and any other regulations




• Consistently applies accounting policies which are appropriate to the current business environment




• Tightly controls transaction activity that operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls




• Delivers insight to the Division in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required




• Review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans




• Owns the Market balance sheets including approval of reconciliations




• Review of accounting papers




• Supports and is responsible for the inputs to the external and internal financial audits for their Division
