The Role:

  • Oversees a team to support validation boards, evaluation boards, and kits during engineering & manufacturing phases.

  • Ensures adequate supplies (including test capacity) to support demand with high on-time delivery and low excess/scraps.

  • Manages contract manufacturers located globally. Ensures geographically diverse for supply assurance.

  • Ensures manufacturing cost competitiveness while maintaining excellent product quality.

  • Manages development of NPIs from introduction to release for production.


  • Supply Chain Planning:

    • Leads the team to plan and coordinate the monthly production cycle, including monitoring the forecasted build plan.

    • Ensures timely delivery of products to customers and manage Bill of Materials (BOM)

    • Meets company KPIs such as cycle time, shipment, production variance, inventory turns and inventory excess.

  • Supplier Management:

    • Facilitates the offshore of NPI to suppliers with safe launches, etc.

    • Manages supplier process change requests through Change-Action-Board (CAB).

    • Organizes suppliers’ performance review through Silicon Labs framework & scorecard.

    • Reviews risk in supply chain and takes action to ensure business continuity.

    • Leads new supplier selection process to select and qualify new supplier(s)

  • Product & Test Engineering

    • Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and exceed quality goals.

    • Responsible for tester setups and ensures adequate test capacity to support demand.

    • Interfaces with design, marketing, process, and reliability engineering to resolve technical issues.

    • Works with corporate team on new test platform development and ensures smooth transition to new platform.

  • Kit Engineering (NPI)

    • Works with extended team to ensure program readiness for NPI/Launch/Production.

    • Works on qualification methodology & specifications.

    • Ensures ICs with correct firmware revision and calibrations are provided for builds.

    • Provides inputs on cost optimization early in design phase.

Skills You Will Need:

  • A technology related bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 15 years of related experience.

  • At least 5 years of leadership & management track record

  • Strong analytical skill and strong written/verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate to all levels with both internal and external stakeholders allocated worldwide.

  • Ability to strive in fast-paced, diverse, multi-cultural, and global environment.

  • Ability to manage and develop relationship with key business partners across the globe.

  • Proven track record in change transformation to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Knowledge in best practices of supplier chain management and strategies in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

  • Familiar with JEDEC standards and quality management system such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO14001.

  • Experience in SAP and o9 planning/scheduling systems are preferred.
