Relevant Experience: MBBS/MD with valid registration, MPH/Master in hospital administration or other relevant qualification will be preferred. 4 years working experience with atleast 2 years as administrative manager for health related activities. Experience of working in nutrition programs will be an added benefit

Job Description:

Mission 1: Coordination with relevant departments and stakeholders for health activities implementation

Health Manager is responsible for:

  • Coordinate with District health offices, Provincial health department, nutrition directorate and relevant offices for implementation of Integrated health services from primary health facilities in Pishin and Kila Saifullah

  • Maintain close working relations with Health partners, UN Agencies, Provincial Nutrition Working group, provincial CAR offices and district administration for coordination, representation of ACF, progress updates and identification of areas for collaboration.

  • Draw up reports for the health related activities as per ACF formats and coordinate regularly with MEAL team for provision of data and preliminary analysis of disease trends and needs identified in coordination with HoD H&N

  • Lead the implementation of Integrated Health services at primary health facilities and outreach camps

  • Ensure implementation and quality of mission strategic objective /SO: Nutrition and Health.

Mission 2: Provide technical programme quality oversight on nutrition and health interventions in selected healthcare facilities and community level

Health Manager is responsible for:

  • Plan, supervise, monitor and give technical inputs for health care service provision at selected healthcare facilities.

  • Ensure regular monitoring and technical supervision for PHC at the selected HCFs

  • Technical lead for CMAM and IYCF-E, support and monitor the health supervisors for implementation of outreach components in selected districts for program implementation (operations and quality implementation).

  • Plan, support in selection of participants, curriculum contextualization, TNA and ensure delivery of health and nut related trainings as a part of project implementation

  • Conduct capacity building need assessment and establish technical areas that requires training and on job support among the team.

  • Ensure that project IEC material for Health & Nut is standardized and support with contextualization.

  • Contribute in the finalization of monitoring and program tools in collaboration with the Tech HOD and MEAL Dept, and build capacity of project and implementing partner staff and volunteers on the new tools and procedures

  • Quality Assurance of healthcare service delivery by the Implementing partners

  • Coordination with CAR office, UNHCR and other relevant department for Mobile Health camps at designated refugee villages alongwith frequent monitoring visits to Health facilities and outreach camps

  • Draw initial supplies distribution plans for medical items and ensure that consumption reports are received from partners timely. Support Log department for spot checks for medical and nutrition commodities and ensure that demand is generated in a timely manner.

  • Draw up and update referral pathways from health, maternal health, nutrition, mental health and GBV and ensure implementation of referral support.

  • Support and supervise MHPSS activities through the MHPSS Officer

  • Ensure implementation and quality of mission strategic objective /SO: Nutrition and Health.

Mission 3: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality and child protection sensitivity

The Health Manager is responsible for:

  • Read and ensure a full understanding and promotion of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies

  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries

  • Ensure and encourage the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities

  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Any other relevant tasks as assigned by the management.
