The Role: Sr. Scrum Master/AgileCoach

The Team: The Digital Technology Service (DTS) Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is a part of the Office of the CIO. The PMO’s mission is to define and apply a standardized and proven portfolio management framework, processes, and tools to ensure due diligence in work selection, peer review, prioritization, and approval, to help DTS achieve its strategic objectives.

The Impact: The Portfolio Management and Agile Transformation team works with DTS to manage, operate and improve the DTS portfolio management process and lead the Agile/SAFe transformation for DTS, while supporting all S&P Global divisions and functions on the efficient execution of their strategy and continuous delivery of value through best-in-class Agile, Portfolio Management, and Product Delivery and tools.

What’s in it for you :

In this role, you will be an Agile Coach of Scrum Masters and Agile teams (SAFe Scrum or SAFe Kanban), working in the DTS Agile Transformation team and in partnership with other Agile Coaches, to increase the effectiveness of SAFe/Agile practices and overall business agility in DTS and TSG.

Responsibilities :

Be a transformation change agent: support a Scaled Agile transformation and execute Scrum/Kanban implementations within the organization, including SAFe/Agile mindsets, values, principles, practices, and tools.

Develop and deliver hands-on training and coaching of defined Agile practices to foster a Lean-Agile mindset and maximize efficiencies and performance from Scaled Agile principles, values, and practices.

Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development.

Work with Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum/Kanban in the organization.

Identify transformation risks, mitigate impediments, and seek opportunities to eliminate dependencies within and across Agile teams. Escalates and tracks key team metrics.

Assists with communication, improving transparency, and streamlining information.

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Technology, or Operations. Certified SAFe Scrum Master, CSM, A-CSM, or equivalents.

Experience leading teams as a Scrum Master.

Aptitude for nurturing self-organizing, high performing teams via servant leadership, individual coaching, and mentoring.

Emotional intelligence, level-headed diplomat, skilled listener, and clear communicator, with strong empathy traits, able to remain objective and constructive in all situations.

A ‘Team First’ mindset and an ability to build and sustain trust at all levels across the organization.

Knowledge of various Agile and engineering processes and methods (Infrastructure, Operations, Software Engineering), can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/Enterprise.
