Role Overview:


As the Procurement and Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the procurement and operations function of our ongoing community health worker project. Working closely with the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement and operations procedures, fostering relationships with service providers, and ensuring the seamless execution of the project.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement procurement and operations procedures and policies.

  • Support financial planning and record keeping for procurement and operations.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with potential subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.

  • Liaise with nonprofit and for-profit entities for diverse services procurement.

  • Collaborate with finance and program teams to meet program needs and contractual requisites.

  • Develop and share requests for proposals and quotations.

  • Evaluate proposals and quotations, ensuring adherence to standards.

  • Negotiate with service providers for optimal rates and quality.

  • Maintain procurement and operations documentation for audits.

  • Coordinate with the project's finance team.

  • Support human resource management functions.


Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement standards.

  • Successful track record in procuring and managing services of vendors, subcontractors, and partners.

  • Understanding of international donor requirements and compliance in procurement.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • High integrity and ability to work independently in a lean work culture.

  • Can-do attitude and willingness to take initiative.
