Position Purpose

The incumbent will be required to produce all kinds of videography for the University and marketing needs, delivering high-quality recordings for LUMS events. Create engaging video insertions for promotional content, seamlessly integrating them into online and offline platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Record all events and happenings at LUMS.
• Assemble and set up equipment, including camera, tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads, headphones etc. Move cameras and other equipment around as needed.
• Plan, prepare and rehearse scenes/shots. Creatively frame and capture the action.
• Assist with camera work for documentaries or independent films.
• Select and install screens and filters in the camera to produce desired effects.
• Direct participants in shots. Edit shots
• Remove red eye, resize, and crop pictures as needed.
• Find solutions to technical or other practical problems (for an outside broadcast, for example, the natural light conditions need to be taken into account when setting up shots).
• Keep up to date with filming methods and equipment.
• Open Days - Lahore, Karachi Islamabad and Webcast Open Days coverage.
• Coverage of Gradnight, Convocation, Orientation week, Alumni Homecoming, NOP Sessions, Annual career fair, Annual book fair, DHL Ceremonies, Summer School, Lifetime Learning, Leaders at LUMS, flagship conferences/events by Schools and Offices, flagship events by student societies and clubs.
• On-campus visits and tours.
• In-house creative and functional videos for strategic marketing.
• Media Equipment handling and maintenance.
• GMAT/GRE workshop for MBA/PhD Management/EMBA, SBASSE 10 years celebrations, MBA SEED Video, Pakistan@100 Initiative with MGSHSS.
• Focus Day on PhD Management - Admissions Marketing.

• Sound theoretical, practical and technical knowledge of cameras and related equipment.

• Understanding of the effects of colour, lighting angles and perspective depth.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelors in media production, media studies, performing arts or photography/film/television.
• At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role preferably at a media organization.
  
  

Travel Requirement

• May be required for crucial off-campus events.
  
  

Work Schedule

• Flexible on work schedules and timings. Events, video and photo coverage can be required at any time and day and over weekends.
